OK, Hyuga Recadeu(spelling? who cares) is one of the Guardian Angels(Said by one of the ministry members towards the end of the first disc)
He was sent to watch Fei Fong Wong for them by Cain's order. It's mentioned somewhere that he is ONE of the guadian angels. Who are the others? Is this what the Guadian Angels web site thing was based on? Curiosity is killing me.

so the all of the guardian angels of solaris altogether(meaning at one time or another) would include Miang, Hyuga, Ramsus, Jessie, Sig(not sure, in fact I doubt it but what the hell).
What about the NEW elements?
Dominia, Kelvena, Seraphita, Tolone, and Elly(she was an element, too, wasn't she?)

Rune is right - Hyuga, Ramsus, and Miang were Guardian Angels.
Although this is speculation, it may be that Krelian also began as a Guardian Angel, or held that rank in addition to his others. He did swear his loyalty to Cain... in the beginning.
None of the other Elements held that rank, however, and I'm not sure they ever would have. Hyuga had brains (I'd bet real money that Krelian made that decision), Ramsus had power, and Miang... was Miang. That's the highest rank one can obtain in Solaris that /I/ know of (not counting Emperor and such, of course), and I think she always held that rank for political reasons.
Or just convenience - your choice. Ramsus needed constant supervision, in any case... what better place for him?

So, then "Miang" would have never been a Guardian Angel if she had not been possesed by the mother?
Then, Karen Wong was a Guardian Angel as well , before the current Miang?

2nd class citizen(no idea)
1st class citizen(Pure Solarian, Gazel)
Element(Jugend Gradute w/honors)
Luetenant(Military)
Commander(Guessing something above luetenant

I always thought the Guardian Angels are some Emperor's personal securtiy guard, special agent or something. At least Hyuga, the GA of Water, is loyal only to the Emperor, taking direct orders form him, and never seems to obey Miang or Gazel.
I think Miang is higher than GAs. I mean, she's higher than the Emperor if you ask me. The Gazel refer to her as only "Mother". She's the mother of Gazel and Cain, after all...
Miang is always highest :P

Oh, Miang is definitely higher in rank, technically. I don't remember where I read it(though I'm pretty sure it was in the PW), but it said that she held the official rank of Guardian Angel... and I'm assuming that was just a cover to explain why she had so much power.
As for the real place and task of a Guardian Angel... I assume they are, as you suggested, just Cain's version of the "special forces". If you think about it, you'd have to be quite talented to make it to that rank, and that means they do all of the /real/ work... Hyuga watched the Contact, Miang and Ramsus antagonized the Contact... ^.^ Gee, it all had to do with the Contact.
Ah well. ^.^
