What does " bishounen " mean?

The word bishounen means "pretty boy". I thinkt the term for "pretty man" is something different, but I can't remember what it is. ^^
Good examples of this are... well, Krelian up there with his angel wings, Hotohori of Fushigi Yuugi, Allen of Escaflowne (somewhat), Lei Magnus from Slayers, Kuja (he takes it too far), Zechs of Gundam Wing... Dias of Star Ocean 2. ^.^
Those are just a few... and mind you, sometimes the term "bishounen" is used for characters that aren't really pretty, so much as just good-looking. It's becoming far more opinion-based than it used to be.
For a flat definition, just think... "Long-haired, slender males that have girlish faces. Oh, and they're usually sensitive, tender, and badass warriors as well." ^.^

Uh? sorry who is Lei Magnus? I have seen the whole Slayers series and I don't remember a name like that... maybe in the OVAs or the movies? Or maybe it's the bad bad spanish dub

Lei Magnus is one of the seven people that carries a piece of the Dark Lord Shabby (as we affectionately call him). He's also known as the "Demon King of the North", and he's the one who fought the Water Dragon King in the war a thousand years ago. He's encased in ice but conscious, and Zelas Metallium seems to want to get rid of him. Or maybe I read that part wrong... (You can see flashes of him in episode 3 of the first season, and he's in an eyecatcher near the end of Slayers Try, behind a blonde woman holding a shovel. ^.^)
Ahhh. Slayers flashback. I don't remember the name of that war, though... It's the one where Xellos made his appearance, I think. (It's been awhile.)

Being a rather rabid Krelian fan, I will not tolerate that... crap, now you've just reminded me of an arguement I had once a long time ago *cringes*
But it's true enough, Krelian would be termed a bishounen. haha, or rather a biseinen. After all, I wouldn't term him as a "boy" ...
