Since no one really answered me when I asked whether or not it was worth it to rent Tales of Destiny (although, thanks for trying, Nyuna :)), I guess I'll ask about Legend of Mana this time. As I've said before (I... think...), I prefer story over gameplay or anything else in an RPG. In that case, would I like LoM? I've read some reviews of the game, but they weren't very clear on whether there was a good story or not.
Supposedly, the graphics are nice, though...

No, no, not SoM, LoM... the one for PlayStation that just came out a while ago...
I've already played SoM... didn't really do much for me, but I thought LoM might be different...

Hey, where DO you get hotline, anyway? I've been to their site, but as far as I can tell, you have to order the program (i.e. pay for it), and yet, I've heard it's a free download... what's up with that?

Go to http://www.download.com and make a search for hotline. It should give you servers and clients. Download the client.

Try using a "tracker"
Guen showed me this one and it is the only one I have needed  : http://www.tracker-tracker.com/hotline/index.html
Then just check below what you need... It's just like a normal Search engine.
You know, other way of file transfer is MIrc, but it is a lot unsafier. Use it a your own risk...

Cool. That works pretty well. Unfortunately, all the good servers don't allow "guest" downloads. Is there anyway to get out of guest status, or do you have to know the op's (are they called ops in hotline?) for each server to get full access?

Either you got charisma, either you meet the admin in other place, or either you upload something he wants... The fact is that it is NOT as easy as it would look IMO.

Anyway, dear Surtur, the truth is, to get just about anything, all you need to do is click few porn banners.. In most of the cases... :((
Private servers just aren't worth it, since they dont last more than a month usually... (Trust me, I used hotline since late 96)...
The only stable server that is still around for almost 3 years now is "Freeman and Digital", a super fast private server featuring latest in Digital Imaging software... Unfortunatelly, i dont got a membership there anymore.. ;(
