It's out, and it's great. Anyone here playing it? IMHO Everyone with a PC should get a copy immediately!!!

Could you at least tell us what makes it so great?

But then, I don't play games in my PC... unless they are Roms. Or Quake.

Or maybe a certain someone is already downloading it at 0,1 kbs You know who you are

Why are you disappointed? If you think the graphics is bad, then I'd say the in the full version the graphics is much better than that in the demo. If ou think the real-time battle system is bad, well, don't use it. Only when you are very strong or of certain professions that the real-time battle system is useful.

I think the GAME SYSTEM is bad. I think the GAME SYSTEM is pathetic. I think the GAME SYSTEM is one of the saddest peices of crap I have ever seen.

When you throw a grenade, it doesn't land next to your feet, or 2x the distance you threw it in some other direction..... at worst it lands within 10ft of the target.....

Apparently the makers FORGOT THAT.

Guns are pathetic, as waste of time. At least they could have delt decent damage, like in REAL LIFE. Then the skill waste might be justiifed.

You have very little control over character creation.

You have limited ability to specialize or follow a select path you desire.

They screwed up the effects. The stun effect lasts around 30 seconds on your character, 6 seconds on any enemy.... why?

In short, they would have done much much much much much better using just the raw Fallout game system, nope they made the mistake of attempting to build their own, when they obviously didn't know shit about how to go about it.

At least that is how the Demo rubbed off. Beyond that the game seemed good. The fallout people are among the best at conversation trees etc...

Hmm? I wonder if we are talking aabout the same game ^^

Very little choice at character creation? I think teh background system is quite fun, something like the traits in Fallout 2, of course you only got 5 points to allocate at start, but that's already quite okay for you to decide what you want to play. Ofcourse later on when you level up you get much more points. Also I think the possibilities is limitless in Arcanum for character development. I already hve eight particular professions that I want to try out in mind, a Fighter, a Summoner mage, a Thief, a Firearm specialist, an Electrical technologist, a Fighter/fire mage, a necromancer, A Timemage/Thief. The possible way to develop your character is limitless. Of course a mage/techie won't be that good, but actually you can keep your aplitude around the center. Of course I think the game reward specialization over generalization, which I think pretty every PC RPGs is this way and I like it over maxing out everything.
