It's official: IGN ps2 reports that namco will incorporate online elements to their future titles, klonoa, tekken 4, and XENOSAGA!

Just what kind of online elements can we expect? maybe gear customizing, and an online tournament?

I agree with raine there
and I can't afford to play them anyway :p especially when I'm saving up for xenosaga! (oh and the ps2 I'll need to play it with)

Aren't we getting just a little ahead of ourselves here? I think it's far more likely for an 'online' aspect of XenoSaga to simply be webpage you can connect to via the PS2 if you ever needed help or anything like that. I just think we should wait until we have a little more information before we go making all sorts of wacky conjectures.

Agreed Sirus. No need to worry about online elements for Xenosaga before the game is even out. The odds are it's probably something small and optional anyway. If you dont like the online options you probably wont have to worry about them anyway. FF9 has an option for a pocket-station but how many of us have pocket-stations? Did it ruin the game? No of course not and neither will online services.

Apparently, FFXI is going to be "online", but will cost money. However I don't think that Xenosaga will be like that. But having online minigames would be interesting, albeit it would eat up quite a bit of time on a dial-up, especially with those graphics.
