Ok, I beat Xenogears once and am now playing it again. But I still am unsure about certain things in the game.
1) Where exactly did the people from eldridge come from, and how were they able to create deus?
2) How are the zohar modifier, contact, anti-type, and animas and all that related-and how does xenogears(the actual gear) fit in with all this?
3) I know Krelian's ultimate plan was to be one with god, but what exactly was Cain and the gazel ministry's ultimate plan?
4) The game makes references to the destruction by the "demon of elru" 500 years ago-I am assuming this is id, but if it was, isn't id a part of fei, so fei would have had to have been living then...?
5) Who created the omnigears?
6) Who exactly was Khan fighting before he died? Apparently it was id, but then that would be fei, right? I am unsure about this.
7) At the beginning of the game the fmv's show a little fei with no eyes and he is always smiling(i assume this is id) and they show another little fei who is always crying(i assume this is the coward), they also show the beings walking along but you can't make out who they are, I am just wondering who they are.
That is all the questions I can think of for now. Sorry for so many but xenogears is very confusing. Thanks.

Elru was destroyed 3 years ago by ID.

Ok I'll see if I can get all this straightened out
1) The Eldridge is presumed to have come from Earth and was travelling to Neo Jerusalem. How they built Deus I have no idea. Let's just say they were either very advanced or found the damn thing and restored it.
2)The Zohar modifier is basically the engine of Deus it sucks in power from the dimention the wave existence originates from and consequently powers the gears and pumps ether energy into the atmosphere. Anima and animus are both words which means material or components which are a part of Deus. One is male and the other female. They were stored into the human genome so that Deus could later absorb them and ressurect itself when there were enough humans. The anti-type is a really tricky one to answer basically she's Elly the embodiment of motherhood which young Abel desired to be with. She is one of the factors which resulted in the wave existence being dragged into our dimention and is consequently needed to help reverse the process.
3)I dont recall ever hearing Cain's ultimate plan. The Gazel ministry basically just wanted to ressurect Deus and get new bodies.
4) The Demon of Elru is essentially a term describing Weltall when all the contact powers are active and the Gear is doing some serious damage. The term originates from when Id trashed Dominia's homeland of Elru. I dont recall them mentioning it 500 years ago although Lacan who was taken over by Grahf in much the same way as Fei gets taken over by ID also went on a rampage and thats probably what they're talking about when they say 500 years ago even though Elru destroyed a lot more recently.
5)The Omnigears are basically Terminal invasion weapons desiged as part of Deus along with the 4 pillars you fight towards the end of the game. So to answer your question whoever built Deus built the Omnigears.
6)Khan was fighting ID although in his mind he was fighting Grahf. Id is basically a part of Fei's psyche which thrives on destructive impulses. Unfortunately it seems that Fei and Lacan who are both essentially the same individual are prone to mental disorders and when traumatised the ID factor splits from the psyche and becomes active. Also this part of the psyche enables Fei to activate his contact powers leading to a very lethal combination. In other words Grahf is essentially Lacan's ID only when Lacan died Grahf had by this point learned how to transfer his conscioussness into other people (we presume using the Urobolus ring like Miang but thats a theory) Anyway to cut a long story short he ended up in Fei's dad's body and hoped to take over Fei's body so that he could be reborn in his original body. Confused?
7) Those people in the distance are probably the Gazel ministry

Most of these questions are also answered in past threads - several times over. ^^ Although DarkSabre did a fairly good job with his answers - hope they helped.
