What where they running from? and from where? Why was Dues on them and how did he get released from the ship or whatever? Also so the people who where in the ship, is that a different planet they crashed on or the same one that they where running from? and was that Chick at the begining "The Mother" or whatever??

Deus got released from the ship because he was able to connect with Zohar and activate itself. They weren't really running from a planet, they were on their journey when Deus activated and targetted a nearby planet. And yes, the chick at the start was the mother. I suggest playing the game again, or reading the script.

Play the game for a 5th time, you obviously don't understand the plot AT ALL! Heck, I played it once and got it. Then again, I made my own story charts and notes. Anyway, it's not worth my time to answer this question...

I have to agree with Neo on this case, I played through Xenogears 3 times so far. The first time I was a little confused, second time I took notes and came away understanding most of it, third time I made dex drive saves and got just about all of it with a few doubts about minor aspects. Some of these questions werent that hard to figure out really and should make sense by the second time you play the game let alone the forth. Then again I'm becoming a bitter evil person who hates humanity so what would I know.

The Eldridge my favorite Xeno questions to answer!
Ok that ship was the Eldridge and they were on a mission to form a colony world, Neo Jerusalem. They were on that ship for thousands of years. They made giant advances in science. Their ship was traveling by force of Zohar who was created back on Earth or to them known as Lost Jerusalem(I'm gonna put a post up on this soon). Ok the scintists on the Eldridge created Deus, I am almost positive that he was created as a terraforming tool and not a weapon as others believe. Well he could of been used for both. But Deus had intelligence and he kinda rebelled against them by connecting Zohar and blew their ship up! Ah the Eldidge such a beautiful ship. (By the way thanks for the picture of it Myaru) Yes she is the mother.

Actually, Deus was the product of the cosmo war. It was developed in hope to end the engrossing and senseless war (EPISODE I).
Neo Jerusalem has been colonized and developed for over 4,700 years since the Eldridge came to being and the Eldridge carried people that survived a failed terraformation experiment involving Deus.

First of all, you have played the game FOUR TIMES and you are accusing US of not having any lives. Secondly, the only reason I took those notes was to gain a better understanding of the game, it's plot, and it's concepts. I don't have the script, the Memorial Album, or the PW (but I'm getting it this weekend!, so therefore, the only way for me not to get confused was to take notes. SO EAT THAT!

I agree with Neo ID
I took notes for much the same reason because I enjoyed the game and it also helped me understand it better. The fact is though that even without such notes you should be able to understand the plot pretty well after 4 or 5 times. And certainly well enough to know the answers to the questions you asked. I accept that a lot of things werent covered in the game and even that it is one of the most complex in terms of storyline but the fact is you dont need perfect works to answer these questions just the game.
You may also note that the two people you're arguing against are also two people who dont have perfect works. In fact you've finished the game one more time than me. Anyway one way or the other what does it matter you've got your answers and probably think we're the jerks. So you're one up on us who walk away from this dispute with nothing.
PS/ a quick question for Raine, why does a peaceful terraforming device have terminal interface Weapons?

Exactly and anybody willing to trash a terraforming machine would have to be reasonably advanced. Thats the basis for my argument. You only need weapon systems if theres life already on the planet making Deus just as much of an invasion weapon as it is one for terraforming.
Also TTI I really fail to see the link between sexuality and video games and realistically whats wrong with a person being homosexual anyway? Its their life let them live it as they see fit and stop making them sound as if you're superior to them. When you win the nobel peace prize then I might consider listening to you. In the meantime if you want to argue with us atleast form a few intelligent arguments otherwise stop wasting our time.
