"Question2!" , Mon 12 Feb 11:14

After have read the answer to my first question and have understood that the Eldridge wasn't the only space ship of humanity a second question come to my mind:why the other humans haven't gone to the the place of disaster to test what happened? After all there were some important things, like Deus,Zohar, and the people of Eldridge.I don't think they couldn't know it,cause the big hole shown in the beggining (Sephirot path if I'm not wrong)have made a big quantity of energy(I suppose so).Probably Square have not put this into their plot cause there couldn't be a magnific plot like what they have done, but maybe there are other explanation. Will somebody answer me?

I have answered most of these questions at the XGZ forums, but I don't mind repeating myself here. Knowledge is public info :)

When the Federation of Stars (the new Milky Way Galaxy central government, located at Neo Jerusalem) tested the connection between Zohar and Deus at Miktam04Beta, Deus went haywire and the military was called forth to stop the runaway experiment. Within matter of minutes, Deus laid waste to this subject planet.

Deus was supposed to terraform this planet for habitability, I think it was the first planet in galaxy outside the Milky Way galaxy where humans laid foot on -- in other words, manking conquered the Milky Way, now they are crossing Galaxies. The colony aboard the Eldridge were prospective emigrants for this planet. So after Deus was forcefully shut down and had its core dismantled, the military summoned the Eldridge (one of two Philadelphia Class super sized warships) to investigate the accident as well as to rescue the 1.2 million surviving people of the subject planet. The Eldridge and Miktam04Beta planet was located in a solar system named Miktam, 04 representing the 4th planet, and Beta grade for habitability only after terraformation; upgrades to Alpha grade after terraformation. The entire system was not in the Milky Way but rather in the distant NGC6744 Spiral Galaxy.

People use 'space displacement mode' to get to distant interstellar region very quickly. It's like jumping to a distant region that is light years away in a matter of minutes by opening up a wormhole and jumping through it.

It all returns to nothing. It all
comes tumbling down
tumbling down
tumbling
down.

No... I think cause Eldrige went down FAR FAR FAR away from the place where it came from, and other humans didn't HAD the power or capacity to come for the rescue.... Eldrige was one of a kind... Remember, even reaching Alpha Centaury from earth would take 140 years (i think) of travel at the speed of light (and speed of light is unattaianable, according to the relativity theory)... :(

Then you've also got a lot of risks involved. Deus could effectively do the same thing to the second ship what it did to the first. Why make the risk if Deus is out of harms way.

I'd love to chat longer but I'm having an old friend for dinner. Bye

Goodie a flow of "Transcend Christ" questions.
Ok, the Eldridge was too far away and plus their was no way to communicate with Earth or other ships they were on a mission of exploration to go far far and set up a colony(Neo Jerusalem) and then someday return with all their new technologies. The Eldridge's mission took I think 2000 years, or was it 4000 years.
I think its only 4 light years to Alpha Centuri Kostjan. becasue if you were to use a hydrogen powered engine it would take 11 normal years. (saw on Nova(no saw becasue I love space stuff not casue I'm a geek(well kinda)) can be wrong)
Ok plus it has been over 15,000 years since the Eldridge had communication with Earth during the time of the game.(5,000 years of the Eldridge's voyage and 10000 years of the planet's history)
So even if they did create another Eldridge back on Earth then it would take 5,000 years to get their and for all they know the people of Earth(I think that there are still people on Earth others think Earth went BOOM!) could be thinking that the Eldridge will still return one day.
Now what I wanted to happen is for the people of Xenogears planet(which I like to call Neo Jerusalem, cause I think it was the planet they were gonna colonize) to rebuild the Eldridge and use it to get back to Earth, hell most their population is gone anyway. Also it never said that it was fully destroyed(Zohar I mean) just consumed by Deus. Hum they can excavate it from the rotting mass of flesh left behind. Well then there is alwasy the possibiltiy of trapping "W.E." again.
Any more "T.C." questions? I love them!

Have a rainy day!

hmm.. My memory probably giving out.. Maybe 140 ly is to Andromedia Galaxy???Or rather was, since we know that as of current moment, space is in expansion... If the universe is closed or semi-closed one day we'll get to "140" exact ly... Distance between sun and alpha centaur is roughly 4.4 light years :((

It's VERY far though... Not something a human being can travel in a lifetime with current means of transportation....

Then again it would be cool to travel to AC.. I mean, 3 suns is l33t... :)
