There are things that torment me:
1:the face of Cain is his realy face or is it a mask?
2:Where were the Gazels during Zeboim period?
3:When Solaris and Shevat were launched into the sky?

1.) Like Isis said, that's part of Cain's life support system and nothing more. Think of Emperor Cain as ROBOCOP; organic body replaced by machine, equipped with Cain's original conscious mind. After all, Cain *was* the founder of mankind in the new world :) Surely the Mother didn't gave birth to a machine now, did she ;)
2.) The Gazels' whereabouts were unknown, however, Miang DID consulted them for approval before manipulating the world into annihilating itself via a nuclear war; that I know.
3.) Shevat was constructed atop the Babel Tower in the year 9226. Solaris was "raised" into the sky; I forgot the exact year, d'oh!
Entrenank is the name of Solaris' Capital, aka 1st Class Solaris Citizen residential sector. We have the 3rd Class worker bee sector, we have the 2nd Class sector, and we have 'pure-bred' Solaris citizen sector, which is Entrenank.

Ya that is Cains real face but when he was younger it probaly was like Ramsus' since he was a copy.

It's a life support system. If you look carefully, you could see the wires. Remember when Ramsus whacks his mask off? You see this silouhette, and Ramsus seems extremely shocked, before Cain plunges into the abyss. I put my money on the fact that he looks identically alike to Ramsus.

Yeah, the 'skull face' is a mask, you do actually get to see his real face near the end of the game, it looks kinda like one of those black mages guys from final fantasy, just a small black head with 2 eyes. Aging 10000 years sure doesn't make you look good... @_@ Although one thing that always troubled me was when they show you the flashback when Cain kills Elly 10000 years ago, and he's still wearing all his garb. It would have been nice to show us what he looked like in that scene, since they showed us the gazel's original form, but they just show us him in his usual makeup, most likely so we would know it was him. Oh well.

Actually, Cain is wearing a life-support suit, so that is a mask, not his real face.
That thing about Etrenank has always confused me. Yes, it was the name of the city, but wasn't the city also Solaris in it's entirety? Or did they have some enclave on the surface considered part of the nation as well?

Yes Elru and the Northern Terra were part of Solaris, and so was a good part of Aquvy.

Dont worry I'm not particularly mad. Well I am but that's mad at humanity and existence as a whole and not anything posted here of late.
In the case of Emperor Cain, I believe that to be a mask and not his face. Part of the life extention suit as others have said.
The Gazel ministry's presence during the Zeboim era is a mystery although I believe that through Miang they were running Zeboim from behind the scenes. Perhaps they also had a hand in controlling other nations but I wouldnt bet my life on it.
Etrenank is the main city of Solaris and by all accounts would appear to be the only one in the sky. Unless you count the Ezekiel (The flying fish bowl). Solaris is a name for the empire as a whole.
I'd love to chat longer but I'm having an old friend for dinner. Bye

I think it can still be Cain's real face. You know, there could be wires running through his body, you don't nessesarily need a body suite. Plus he;s so old, of course his face is gonna look like a skull.

I think that its a mask, because everyone mentions that Cain was physically identical to Ramsus.
I also theorize that the mask is some sort of badge of office. This would explain why he wore the mask when he zapped Elly.
Perhaps the Gazel salvaged some environmental suit from the Eldridge and used it is a crown of sorts. Then later they could have replaced it with a Solarian copy that worked.
From what I understand, Etrenak was the capital of Solaris, the big city where 1st, 2nd, and 3rd class citizens all lived. It was pretty much the whole of the non-surface dwelling empire.
Although technically, you could consider the entire world (except for Shevat and Kislev) the nation of Solaris, as Krelian and the Gazel ruled everything else, albeit behind the scenes.
