Does anyone know what the word 'xeno' means? This has bugged me for some time now.
By the way, the following belongs in the off topic board, but it is late and I don't have time to make a new post.
UGDI -stop if this makes you mad - continue if it makes you laugh - has made some progress. We (I am a writer, allthough I haven't done much) have made some character renderings in the RPGMaker thingy that look... decent. We, also, have a name, though we may get sued for having it. The name is Xenowars: The Seventh Day. The Seventh Day meaning when God rested. I think this title has posibilities.

"Xeno" means "alien", roughly. So, a xenophobe is someone who fears the unfamiliar, say, a radical right-winger who swears the Mexicans are stealing all the jobs in California; a xenomorph is an alien form, and so on.

As for the UGDI stuff, we cant mock, laugh or possibly praise any CGI renderings unless you provide us with a link which shows what you've acheived. I'll consider taking a look unless I need a more powerful computer then my existing one to do so.

What exactly is UGDI? I always seem to end up asking questions like this mid-topic.
I'm somewhat curious because I just downloaded RPGmaker. I was going to post a message announcing this pointless achievement to the universe but since a number of people have evidently discovered it beforehand this would only be redundant.
I actually didn't find the character renderings too bad. At least they're better than in FF 5 (3 US).

FF5 isn't "3 US", FF6 is.....
UGDI is a group of enthusiasts (or unaware kids, I'm not sure which), lead by fearless (and extremely clueless) champ going under pseudonim of Stone Cold Chrono (weird, considering in-game character's name from TC was Crono... But who am I to question this?). Now, this hero of modern times, recognised for his innability to write two correct sentenses in a row, was so much acclaiming his godly effort, that it resulted in him being banned from this board. Now, UGDI claimed to be working on a prequel to Xenogears based on RPGMaker tools (which is already hillarious)... Moreover, they claimed to when the game will be finished (around end of February/beginign March 2001.. shit, I think their past their deadline !!), they would release their chef-d'oeuvre in Dreamcast and Dolphin format, and get rich overnight. SCC was such a good leader for the project, in fact, that if there were any suggestions, comments, or simple opinions regarding his project, he would simply impose his (ir)rathional views, signing off his messages with the (in)famous "'cause I'm THAT GOOD"...
He instantelly gained the love of dozens of people frequenting Leamonde on regular basis... DarkSabre proposed to crown him as the saviour of the humanity, while TC had long and passionate post exchange with him....
Unfortunatelly, SCC and his friends (who came along to spread his words (like "FUCK YOU") mysteriously disapeared one day... Supposedly, some very powerful person/being (God?) had enough of them worshiping false idols and ideals, and after a while prematurelly killed them all (or banned their ips from this server.. I'm not sure)... What's even worse, one of their friends (whose name is disclosed for legal reasons), using his "first post priveledge", deleted the whole topic of the next day, privating us of mad laughter that we would get re-reading that topic.. Doc, why oh why did you do "that?'.. Oh shit, I said his name.. Damn... :(
Anyway.... Like DS said, we need evidence, we need proof of UGDI's elite compitence, or, failing that, we need new material to laugh at!! Weeee =)

The topic that was deleted was counting 61 messages in it, ranking number one in largest topics on Leamonde back then (I think we had another thread with similar lenght not too long ago)...
The "removal" of this monumental work of art is really a shamefull act, and the day on which it happened will always remain as a dark day for the community...
But while we're talkig about UGDI, how about unbanning them (if it's not already done), and having a nice discussion with them here.. I mean, they could side with Shinji against me, TC, and DS, and we could have a good competition of the "smarts" versus "dumbs" board wars, while other visitors to this board would get to pick which team is which!! ;))

Sounds good to me, I'm always up for a good posting war. The Shinji thing is simply too one sided. The guy is good for a laugh but he cant compete with the UGDI crew they were a laugh and a half. Oh and Kostjan, you forgot to mention the fact that they weren't associated with any other companies either for distribution or production of their product. They didn't even have the rights from Square to use the Xenogears franchise. If they did get anywhere near the point of making money from their product, Square would step in and sue the pants of them. Hmm when I look at it that way maybe we shouldnt have given them legal advice.
