I don't believe that WE saw humanity as anything important. Much like we dont see a bunch of ant as important.....In such a case he probably didn't even consider what would occure when he jumped deminsions just like a prisioner just set free doesn't realize what is happening to the ants underneath his feet.......

Haha, the Wave Existence simply wants to return to its place of origin, the Dimension of Waves.

He probably felt that they were mostly jerks although you do get the few who are pretty cool. Oh wait thats what I think. Dunno what the WE thought.
BTW if you're interested the Wave Existence made an earlier cameo in Star Trek 5 where old Hal posed as God. Kirk got rather annoyed because he didnt want Hal to take his Starship. There has got to be a zany fanfic in there somewhere

Another wacky fanfic idea could be that Midgar is actually the city in DarkCity. If you actually look at the two they do look suprisingly familiar in some parts. The aliens could be tuning though the use of some special materia and I could be on crack right now by the sound of this post but I'm not. Ok I'm done

Would it matter one way or another? It's not natural for the WE to be in our dimension, so could he have stopped the dimensional shift if he wanted to?
I don't remember reading anything that says he was capable of controlling such an occurance, but then again, I have no clue.
Personally, if I was trapped by them for 15,000 years, I would care if I took a few out on my way back home, but I doubt that was WE's intent.
