Everything seems to malfunction simultaneously. Midway into its transportation, Deus suddenly restarted. The Zohar/Kadomony, which was partially separated from Deus, was utilized by Deus to hack and occupy the Eldridge's central artificial intelligent mainframe super computer, Razael. The invasion of "The Main Planet" was executed by Deus' space metastasis invasion mode.
After several attempts to halt the invading Deus, the Commander of the -Eldridge- evacuated its passengers. Manually disconnecting the power was impossible since all blasting plug within the hull were under the control of Deus.
With no options left, the Commander activated the self-destruct mechanism which involves blasting the hidden uniting bolts of the SpinalShaft (note 2). This caused the SpinalShaft to separate (note 3) and was done in a desparate measure to counteract the complete metastasization of the -Eldridge-. This decision destroyed the sailing function of the -Eldridge-, preventing Deus from controlling it. The mass of the ship was caught by the gravity of a nearby planet. The -Eldridge-'s hull begins decomposing by the influence of gravity. Only the partial blocks that had independent sailing functions (e.g. Kadomony) survived the frictional heat as it entered the planet's atmosphere. Survivors presence was uncertain, though it is safe to assume that nobody survived the tragedy. The central hull where the main body of Deus was stored settles in the ocean. Supervision System Kadomony separates from the main body of Zohar before the central hull sank to the bottom of the ocean. Kadomony landed at a continental coastline and the soft landing feature was activated.
NOTE -- SpinalShaft refers to a set of bolts that hold the main section of the Elridge together. Since these bolts were destroyed, the Elridge broke up the way it did.

-Persona- executes System HAWWA from key program [Original]Elehayym. The first intellectual life was thus borned on this planet. System HAWWA gave birth using "Animus" (composition elements of Kadomony) to the first 13 human beings on the planet. They are the Gazels and Emperor Cain, who becomes the founder of mankind. System HAWWA differentiated itself into two other beings before returning to the life support plant in Kadomony. These differentiated beings are Elehayym and Miang. The Deus Resurrection plan commences. No one from the Eldridge survived the crash except for Abel (seven years old at the time). Abel meets Elehayym after it differentiated from System HAWWA. Human beings are then mass produced using the powers of Cain and the functions Kadomony. The population of human beings will gradually increase at set invervals.

Emperor Cain was accepted by the the people as a deity. Abel was repulsed by this belief. Abel's rebellion became Cain's nemesis.

Emperor Cain strategized a plan to eliminate Abel. However, Elehayym substituted herself for Abel and died for him instead. Miang contemplates this.

You know, I never thought I'd say this, but... gods, this is a boring subject. ^.^ Maybe it's because I've seen it too many times or something... but there's nothing new in those timelines, you know. ^^ Not really - if I made a chart...
No offense Intangir - this isn't a comment on your translating abilities. ^.^ But the more I see from you, and my translator... the more I see that I'd rather just theorize on stuff that doesn't have an answer.

Hehe, it is safe to say that 90% of the infos in PW are integrated into the game itself -- only that it is not listed in such a 'coherent' and 'indexed' manner ;)
The -only- chapters of PW that has any 'value' to Xenogears veterans are the History and Science chapters. They are just glimmering with informations. Yum yum gimme sum!
(It took a good two months to draft the Science chapter translation [insane level of Kanji use, *shudders*] ... and I am still in the progress of polishing and localizing the translations)

well there is some nice new info in the character pages, although how useful it is varies from person to person I guess... :{

The only reason I still have a little fun with translations is becuase I like seeing my theories proven right. *shrug* I guess it's a sort of ego trip, but it IS gratifying to find out that I was RIGHT about things, especially when those things I'm right about are theories I was ridiculed for. ^.^
Take Krelian's page, for instance... I knew or theorized most of that information long before I had it translated... The Nisan timeline isn't coming as a big surprise to me either.
The list of things that have surprised me in the Perfect Works is as follows, top being the most revealing:
Episode I
Shitan's background
Billy's birthplace
Zeboim Era
After that are all the neat references I found in the book that weren't in the game... like the origin of the Ministry's given names, Deus's evolution, ether explanations, and all of that...
That stuff is still interesting to me -- I like picking the game apart to find new historical/mythical/religious references, I like elaborating on the background of their choices for those references, and it's fun to analyze the story to try to figure out what the creators were really trying to say. (Yeah, I SHOULD have taken an English major, I guess.)
But aside from that... after all the discussion on these boards... This game has been discussed to death. It's sad, but while I still love Xenogears, I can't stand to discuss it any longer.

Nah, there probably isn't anything new in the timeline itself
but for a lot of us who haven't been actively asking questions, it's kinda neat to understand all that in one simple post :)
Frankly, I only ever played Xenogears once through, lol... so I didn't catch half this stuff the first time.
Xenogears badly needs a game+ mode. Or save that, it should have the whole game play out like disc 2, so you can just get to the story if you want, and beat a boss every now and then ;)

Seriously though, as much as I love and respect this game, I find it boring nowadays (i used to like it) to try and understand some abstract theories about Xeno world that isn't directly linked with the main game story...

I'm pretty much the same as you in regards to Xenogears. I played the game through to the end three times and the third time I was playing the game was when this site first opened up. Back then I had tons of theories and heaps to say about Xenogears but as time went by I found that I had increasingly less to say about the game and now I have little to contribute on the Xenogears forums. Maybe that will change in a year or so if I go back to the game but I wouldn't hold out hope.
Xenogears may be one of the best games of all time but there's only so much I can say about it. Also Myaru is right sometimes there can be a thing as knowing too much about the game. With all the detail they put into Xenogears writing accurate fanfiction is a difficult job since you have to be careful not to contradict the game.
I'll probably continue to make the odd post for Xenogears but they'll be few and far between.

From what I remember, both Elly & Abel were running in the rain, and Cain threw a laser blast (or somethin') through Elly. (I think this was in flashback...)
So Cain wasn't aiming for Abel?
All this time, I thought Cain was just a bad shot...

Yeah, that's what the info in PW said. However, it was quite clear that Emperor Cain was aiming for Elly and not Abel in the flashback sequence (I just got through that section recently while working on the graphical script).
Anyways, the way PW puts it, it seems like Elly 'negotiated' a deal with Cain to let Abel live. After all, that was the purpose of the Anti-type; to watch over and guide the Contact.

Oh yeah. According to the Science Chapter, Kim from the Zeboim Civilization based his nanotechnology research from the ruins of the Eldridge.
Apparently, nanotechnology was a -large- technological field in the T.C. era. It would make sense since the Original Elehayym (and other 1st generation human beings) were constructed at the atomic level :) (don't know why I didn't caught onto that earlier).
