In the storyline it's a couple of teenagers(i think) vs "God"
Didn't we see something like this before?
Anyway, I think that's Bull. How did these people learn to operate such heavy machinery at such a young age? Maria in particular!!
Fei had never been in a gear(except as Id) and all of the sudden he's a natural!? Yeah right.
I know this post isn't going to make people happy but I'm a little confused. Call me a Xenogears nebie if you will.

True, their young, and really shouldn't be able to operate gears
but Bart, Doc, Billy, Elly, Rico have ridden gears for ages
Chu Chu just getts bigger
Maria doesn't operate the gears, just comands it
Emeralda merges with hers
and Fei, well when he got in the gear IT told him how to control it. And there are other reasons (better not mention them, newbies lerk everywhere)

Maria just tells 17 {seizben) what to do. I think that it was pretty lawful to Maria since when Domnia stole Seizben it came back later.
I wish I knew why Square almost always has some 17 year old saving the world in their games. Cloud was about 17 and Aries was about 18, I think the oldest person was probaly Cid who was probaly 30. Even the Red was only 15 human years, 40 dog years. I guess he doesn't count.

Actually, Cloud was 21, and Aeris 22. Cid was...32, I believe, Barrett 34, and Vincent 57(as in, that was how long it had been since his birth. Physically, he was 27.) FF7 didn't have a bad range of ages.

Think about it, 5 years before Cloud was in Nibleheim with Sephiroth right? If Cloud is 17 now, then he would have been 12 then!! A 12 year old in a military organisation? I don't think so

Well, most of the characters are teenagers, although Rico & Citan are both around 30. Why can they use Gears, well lets see...
Fei: Training from Grahf and Khan enabled him to do it.
Citan: Was an Element member, so obviously...
Elly: Was in Gebler, so obviously...
Bart: Was trained by the pirates
Rico: He's had years of practice
Billy: Was trained by 'Ethos'
Emeralda: Who knows...
Maria: same
The only questionable ones are those last 2, although Emeralda isn't even human, so maybe she has special abilities for things like that...

Well, Emralda was actually a part of her gear I do believe, she just merged into it and fought, so it was somewhat natural.
Maria's father and grandfather created the gears Calamity, Seibzen (sp?) and Actzen (ditto), so she has been aroound them all her life, and I'm not sure on this, but I believe Seibzen (sp again, and I don't feel like looking this up at 4:30 in the morning here) had some sort of telepathic link of sorts, but don't quote me on that.

Actually, remember that Calamity, Seibzehn and Achtzen were the prototypes of the new years that supposedly uses a human's brain. That's why Nicolai pilots Achtzen, he used that experiment on himself, so his conciousness is in the gear.
Why else do you think that Maria is almost always on Seibzehn's head, instead of the cockpit?
So this means that Maria doesn't actually pilots Seibzehn to it's fullest alone, but with the help of the gear.
Either that, or they did trained her well in Shevat, which I doubt.

Some interesting facts...
1) Maria can breath underwater indefinitely.
2) Normal gears get crushed in the deep, deep, ocean. Not Maria.
3) Maria doesn't fly off her gear while traveling at high speeds.
4) Maria has the magical ability to make enemies forget that they can take out Siebzen by simply smashing/shooting her.
5) Maria stays on Sieb even when it is knocked down.

She would have nipples when she was born. She however would not have breasts. There is a very distint differance.
In consideration she probably does have breasts, or more acuratly flabs of skin, even at this young age if she uses nipple rings to hold herself on. In such a case the skin would streach an elongate from the near constant force of flying the gear.
