OK, I'm a Xenogears newbie. I've finally realized it. I know nothing about the game. BOO-HOO
Anyway, In the opening movie the eldridge crashes and miang suddenly appears. Afterwards she gives birth to the human race.
How does she end up there? Did deus suddenly create her before he sealed himself away?

Maybe this is kinda out of line, but I honestly don't think the Mother gave birth to Elly AND Miang. I think the Mother instead, passed on her essence to other people, and Elly was separately created by the Wave Existence to serve Abel's needs, or whatever.
I DO think she gave birth to the Gazel Ministry and Cain, however. ;)

Well the game specifically says the MOTHER GAVE BIRTH to 2 Mothers (caretakers) for the planet. Two of them being the subject (the weapon, and the compliment (Human Mother), that is Elly and Miang. As for the the birth process, Xylix explained that the MOTHERS (Made up of the Original Elly and Deus;' persona), WILLS split from her going into the new-born Miang and Elly. So not physically, but mentally or whatever, MOTHER split, and the body, which is a component of Kadamony, retunred to it. But it is a fact that Mother created the New Elly and Miang.

If you look below, other threads discuss this, but since you strangely to start your own topic....
When Original Elly was inside Kadamony, Deus inserted his persona into her turning her into Miang Hawwa (Mother). When Kadamony crashed on the planet, it released her, and she gave birth to replicas of herself, with resulted in her will' s seperating. (Is that right Xylix?)
