Surprise problems.

Zohar is the name of my computer... (I'm batty) and right now, it's not functioning so I don't have the ability to update my website or the c64 comic. ^^;

It'll probably take me a while to figure out what's the problem (but at least the harddrives are intact) and probably have to get new parts as well.

Me too. If it's just a bad ram stick, I can always grab two ram sticks... (to have another one act as a backup just in case for next event like this. XP)

Hoo. It feels weird to be on my old 98 machine again.


Edit-- Apparently, the heatsink stopped working. Phew... so it won't be too much trouble just to replace the heatsink. x_x Zohar should be back up by this weekend.

Intentional double posting, but hey, the topic's been untouched for a while...

The heatsink Silver bought for me was a little too big for my mobo so I'm taking this chance to actually upgrade Zohar. (Getting Silver's spare motherboard while I grab a new AMD Athlon 64 3800+ and a new ram stick)

Sometimes problems like these are mearly excuses to upgrade in disguise.  Wink  I hope it's working out smoothly.

Unfortunately, it managed to eat one of my bottom front usb drivers and ... Silver's usb mouse.
